Default In Denmark, a Sanctuary by the Sea

Andreas Meichsner for The New York Times
Atop a grassy slope in Humlebaek, a seaside town less than 20 miles north of Copenhagen, Claus Moeller has built a two-story, 5,404-square-foot house that he calls a sanctuary. The enclosed courtyard is protected from the elements and provides a view of the Oresund strait and the Swedish island of Hven.

I like the glass, the pool is really sweet, and I dig the bathroom. I wish the rooms weren't all so slopey, though...it doesn't seem like it's 5,000+ square feet.

Oh, I could definitely live there. But I'd put blinds on the bathroom windows. Whether anyone can see or not, I just couldn't use it like that. And it does need some colour to liven it up, but I love the space.

It seems so sterile and those slanted ceilings are awful.

I'm fixated on the seams of those sofas. Never could I ever ever use that toilet. There's but a sheer curtain. Your guests are on the patio......

I can't pee/poo in public either but I love the angles and slopes. It needs much less blond wood and a lot more colour. Fab views. Ditto the lap pool.

All that white and slopey ceilings are making me anxious, not exactly my sanctuary. I'll leave to others.

I don't think I'd like to pee here, I like a small, colsed space to pee
But ohter than that, I'd kill to have such a view from my bedroom !
