Wow it's impressively ugly. The recurring blue tile everywhere is tacky, as well as the mirrors. It's so dated and ugly, like it's permanently stuck in 1985.
The bedroom reminds me of the staterooms on boats. I like the deck but the planters taking up all the space clutters it up and sort of defeats the purpose of enjoying the space yourself.

Were the actually trying to make the fugliest house possible? Maybe that's what the award was for. I mean, you almost HAVE to be intentional to achieve this level of tacky.

i've seen worse in berkeley.
a lot of the small towns/cities around here have codes restricting which colors can be used for the outside of your house. berkeley doesn't so there are houses that look like this. some even worse.
