Default In Budapest, a Loft on the Danube

Josef Polleross for The New York Times
A stone and brick factory from 1914 has been converted to contemporary loft apartments and offices. A loft on the second floor is on the market for $932,570.

The master bathroom faces the living area from behind a wall of glass; handcrafted blinds allow for privacy. The space has a freestanding ceramic tub.

The bathroom facing the living room apart from a few blinds is genius. The nasty pink towel says it all. Horrible, all of it. Oh and if you are going to have pics taken of your chi-chi designer pad at least put the toilet lid down? Oh Oh and the light fittings are WAY too small and WAY too high.

Toliet lids bother you that much?

I love the dining room and kitchen (minus the flying Hagrid bike). The rest of it is crap, especially the bathroom with all the glass.

Am I seeing things or is the dividing wall between the bathroom and the living area clear glass? No fucking way! My arse would weld itself shut rather than use that!

I'm with you. My sphincter is very shy. Fuck the blinds when you're in a hurry to pee!! Ugh!

i just love the concrete ceiling but the veneer everywhere makes me miserable. i also dislike the cheap tiles and the lighting. the bathroom is a small disaster.

Sorry, a mattress thrown on the floor isn't a "guest bedroom" and the master bed with that lethal platform edge (great for cracking shins after a bathroom visit at 3am) is a disaster. The public bathroom is just creepy/weird. The whole places tries way to hard and fails on all aspects.

No thanks. The whole place looks like a set from an 80s B movie. The heating must cost a fortune.
