Default TINI founder Alexis Hadjopulos' eclectic house

As co-owner and creative director of the vintage home decor emporium TINI, short for This Is Not IKEA, Alexis Hadjopulos has won fans with the kind of quirky sensibility and lack of pretense that is defining a new breed of Los Angeles tastemaker: the populist connoisseur. A mix of high and low, vintage and modern, designer-label buys and garage-sale finds plays out in his house, where chalk graffiti provides the backdrop for a piano that Hadjopulos affectionately calls "the Elton John." An Eero Aarnio bubble chair hangs in back.

In the bedroom, Hadjopulos skipped a traditional rug in favor of artificial turf, which his dog has mistaken for real grass only once.

I'd hit it. What? Are you saying this isn't about the owner who was photographed 3 times in this layout? Huh? Still, I stand by my original statement.

I'll take the dog and the big yellow chair because it looks like it'd be great for curling up and reading in. I'll leave everything else.

I wouldn't be able to sleep with two gigantic JFK heads staring at me in my room. I don't like much here. It's a mess. And the guy has way too many clothes.

Hate the name of his home emporium. Some of us have no choice but to go for IKEA. Unless he offers the same prices the pretentious prick should shut the fuck up. I'm sure his dog secretly hates him and pees on the artificial turf every chance he gets. Sure, he's handsome but he offsets it by being a pretentious douche with horrible taste and he should just fuck right off.

That said, some things in his house are nice but it's mostly weird and disjointed looking and he's trying too hard.

His fixtures, furniture, and cabinets are all much more expensive than what you can get at IKEA. He sucks.

I see I'm not the only one who wasn't feeling this. The only things I like are the closet (love) & the tub & walls of the bathroom. Everything looks, as someone else said, disjointed.

Not really for me although some things are great like the outdoor space, and tub. The decor is very pretentious, urban hipster.

Los Angeles tastemaker? No such thing. He's done nothing special.

I like the dog, the mirror chair and the picture windows.

Love the granite countertop in the kitchen. Want to like the tub, but it doesn't look wide enough for anyone's fat arse.
