Default A Home on the Yucatán

Andrea Wyner for The New York Times
Nicolas Malleville, an Argentine model, and his wife, Francesca Bonato, an Italian fashion designer, bought a 16th-century building in Valldolid on the Yucatán Peninsula, which they converted from a one-room basic structure to a two-bedroom 5,000-square-foot home shaped around a courtyard. Their son, Leon, is 15 months old.

Son, all your toys will be brown so they don't clash with the decor.

The sheeted courtyard is gorgeous and I think I could grow to like the rest of the house if it had some colour and someone burned most of the furniture.

I love the patio. That's about it.

I've been to this town, it's lovely.
And what a great looking family! I'd have to do some major redecorating on the house, but that courtyard is freaking fantastic.

That kitchen is so small. There must be more to it, right? Who hangs a chandelier over their bathtub?
