Default An Attic Studio in Stockholm

In a 495-square-foot attic in the Söder neighborhood of Stockholm, interior designer Jimmy Schonning—a local celebrity for his role in the Swedish TV shows "Finally at Home" and "Styling Emergency"—has carved out a sweet and stylish home. His diminutive studio is chockablock with creative storage solutions (built-in closets; a washer and drier hidden under a workbench in the bathroom) and loads of personality.

More suicide stairs. What is the matter with these people? And I hate beds where one person has to climb over the other to get out. Plus the whole place is like a gloomy Swedish movie.

Yeah it is gloomy. Just because it looks spare and moderne, doesn't make it any less dismal.

I like this one. It's a good use of a small space.

    "Suicide stairs" - yeah.

This is a great job of using space. The choices were limited in less than 500 sq ft. Even the stairs seem to have a nice rail. That bathroom is killer great. Very nice.

me too. how do you decide who has to sleep next to the wall? flip a coin? i'm not claustrophobic but i would like to be forced up against the wall. i've only had this experience during sleepovers.

If they lightened it up some, dealt with the 'suicide stairs' thing(I hate that too-I know I would have a compound leg fracture from that thing) and if it was just for one person(say..umm. Me! for instance)..then I would like it-they did a good job with 495 square feet. And no semi-molten glob of lava chandelier from hell either.
