    Default A Brazilian beach house

    Thiago Bernardes of Rio de Janeiro designed a rustic beach house for the Fernandes family on the Brazilian fjord of Saco do Mamanguá. The area is so remote that the family can only reach its house by boat or helicopter.

    Perfect vacation house for an extended family. Ease, comfort, built on a human scale, beautiful view. And hammocks. Yes.

    This is probably a pretty dumb statement but I always get confused by these tropical places with lush outdoor furniture particularly this one where it's white...

    Doesn't it get destroyed by rain? I mean I know that it's under cover but rain and wind can be a not so hot combination. And same thing with that open roof thing with the bridge (?) doesn't that get soaked??
    All you can do at life is play along and hope that sometimes you get it right.
