Default Heidi Klum and Seal's new $13.4m home

Supermodel Heidi Klum, 37, and her 47 year-old musician husband Seal have found their dream house.
In a sign the couple were really taken with the property, they paid even more than the asking price of $13.4 million.

Home sweet home: Heidi Klum and Seal are buying this eight-bedroom mansion in Brentwood, California

The couple are in the process of buying the mansion in the Los Angeles area, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The pair were instantly taken with the 12,300 square-foot Mediterranean-style house in the upmarket suburb of Brentwood, which is popular with stars like Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon.
Rebecca Ross, an estate agent at Hilton & Hyland who had the listing for the property, has refused to confirm the name of the buyer but she did admit that it had sold for 'significantly more than the asking price'.

Impressive: The mansion boasts an imported Scottish fireplace from 1603

Ancient history: The library also features a fireplace rumoured to have come from Napoleon's house in France

'There were multiple buyers interested, so there was a bidding war,' she added.
There will plenty of room for all the children too, since there are eight bedrooms in the luxurious home.
The beautiful couple, who have been married for five years are raising four children: Leni, six, Henry, five, Johan, three, and 13-month-old Lou.

Palatial: The beautiful bathroom even has a view

Cook with a view: The kitchen overlooks the stunning grounds

Previously owned by an investment banker, the house was put on the market in October after failing to sell at a June auction.
It may also have a couple of pieces of history hidden away inside.
The kitchen comes with a fireplace imported from Scotland dating back to 1603.

Walk in wardrobe: Heidi will have plenty of space for her fabulous clothing collection

Elegant entrance: The Spanish-style villa has wrought-iron entry doors

Also the library boasts a fireplace that is supposed to have originally graced Napoleon's home in France.
The mansion is part of the highly-exclusive Brentwood Country Estates gated community in the Mandeville Canyon area and neighbours include California Governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his TV journalist wife Maria Shriver.
Heidi and Seal met when she was pregnant with Formula One tycoon Flavio Briatore's child, Leni - Briatore having already left the scene.

Rambling gardens: There is so much space for the couple's four children

Since then, the pair have been inseparable and Seal's career has gone from strength to strength, as he has sold more than 15 million albums, and won five Brits and four Grammys.
Now the fabulous couple will be sharing a neighbourhood with other A-listers.
Just think of the dinner parties they will have!

Not enough wood on the inside (egads).

i agree. i love when houses have ivy or whatever growing on the side. i'm sure they'll completely redo the inside and get rid of that nasty wood overload.

The wood will look a lot different just with furniture and rugs in place.

    Lovely views though.

They spend $13 million and get a dinky kitchen with no upper cabinets? Pffft.

Actually they paid more $14,200,000 for a house with a dinky kitchen & no upper cabinates (I figure that there is an utility room for other storage).

They've sold their old house, which when you see the deco was cute. I can imagine what this one will look like with all their stuff.

I don't like it. Too much wood, and the bathroom is hideous looking.
