Default Near Madrid, a House of Concrete I-Beams and Steel Girders

Antón García Abril, a Madrid architect, has designed a house that is built out of infrastructure pieces -- three giant concrete I-beams, two concrete segments from an irrigation canal and two steel girders -- anchored on top by a 20-ton piece of granite.

That is just ugly as hell. I wouldn't even want to stay there on a vacation.

I am not fond of it. Where are the toys? Has anyone ever been in that kitchen?

The exterior looks like a motorway service station. The interior is sterile and uninteresting. No. Not even for a visit.

I wonder if it is or not, it looks like cloth covering glass to me but, wtf why would you do that?

    I hate this house.

Edit: Upon closer inspection it does look like a pool to me now, but I still hate the house.

I find the outside interesting... but as a person who has watched many construction sites come to life, this is something I can relate to. The inside is absolutely horrendous! Seriously? A wooden couch? A bedroom/bathroom? Who would want to sleep where they shit!??

super pretentious. but kind of cool at the same time. i'd like to see it and visit but no fucking way i'd live there. the wood 'couch' and wood wall made to look like bookshelves are the kinds of things that would look cool in an art gallery/museum type space but in a home they just make me want to slap him.
