Stephen Fisher, a banker with J.P. Morgan in Singapore, missed the outdoor lifestyle in his native Australia, and asked his architect for a house that embraced the tropical climate. It consists of two connected glass-and-wood pavilions — one for living, the other for sleeping — surrounding an infinity pool. It was designed so that residents could “have a view of the ocean from every room,” Mr. Fisher said.
A five-inch-thick acrylic wall in a basement room offers underwater views of the pool. UFO loveseats by Cellini were chosen for their colors, to “inject a bit of fun,” Mr. Fisher said. “White would have been too sterile.”
