    This is awesome for Kiev (or what I have pictured as a typical Kiev apartment). That platform bed looks horribly uncomfortable; I think I've slept on camping mattresses that were thicker.

    Agree. It's a crying shame that none of the architectural features of the building were preserved in the renovation.

    The stripped down stainless steel and tile interior is completely incongruous with the building and the neighborhood.

    Very sad to see such beautiful buildings gutted and so badly renovated. In New York it's called 'facade-icide'. The exterior is preserved but the building interior is destroyed.

    the building is beautiful, as is the neighborhood surrounding it. thats all i really like.

    Yes, that bathroom is pretty gross. I would kill my shins every day with that bed. I like the modern look of it, but agree it doesn't go with the look of the neighborhood.

    Yeah 'facade-icide' and 'Facadectomy' are not the best things at all, but still preferable to knocking down a beautiful old building and putting up some modern monstrosity.

    At least it is still picturesque from the outside.
