    Default A house near Philadelphia

Ryan Collerd for The New York Times
A 1971 house in Elkins Park, a suburb nine miles from Philadelphia, is on the market for $675,000. The exterior of the second level is wrapped in cedar lattice.

There sure are a lot of chairs, lol. This must be a corporate business meeting house or something.
That shower is scary imo. It would be the first thing I changed. After the chair hauling truck left that is.

Agree - too many damn chairs and they all look very uncomfortable. The shower is too big unless you want a gang bang but I do like the red room (apart from the furniture). The exterior is horrible.

I see they are not big on gardening.

I would KILL for that shower in my humble abode. There are WAY too many chairs, but the interior space is wonderful. I'd decorate the outside - it's boring as hell.

The spaces are ok. Like the shower(and A*O's ideas for it! ). Agreed wtf with all the chairs. Redecorate and do something with the outside-it looks awful and there is no landscaping to soften the building-it is too dark and monolithic looking.

They have some nice pieces of furniture, but on the whole it doesn't gel for me. Bedroom is boring.

Love the space in the interior, minus some of the furniture. But hate the exterior, and the fact that the house is in Philly.

Oh well, the whole family could shower at once, I guess. Otherwise, WHAT THE HELL is all that shower space needed for?? Just more floor to keep clean, no thanks.

i love the house itself - the exterior is beautiful and it's a great space. but while they have some nice pieces, the interior doesn't really work. the 2 tables in the dining room makes it look like a restaurant, the kitchen is boring and so is the pantry/breakfast nook, etc... but it definitely has potential!
i don't mind the giant shower at all. a couple of friends have a very similar set-up at their country place - huge bathroom downstairs with two sinks, a giant tub, and a whole wall and corner by a window that has 2 showers set up like they are in this place. no curtains anywhere either. the whole thing is tiled in stone from floor to ceiling and the steam from the shower fogs up the window but even if it didn't they're in the middle of nowhere so chances of anyone seeing them from outside are close to zero. i love that bathroom.
