Default A 19th-Century Landmark in Newfoundland

Doug Allen for The New York Times
This 19th-century building in St. John's, Canada, once home to a fraternal organization for Newfoundlanders of Irish ancestry, is split into three private residences, one of them now on the market at 1.55 Canadian dollars, or $1.53 million. Over a surface area of about 5,200 square feet spread over four floors, the home has three bedrooms and harbor views.

The foyer has 14-foot ceilings and original stone walls.

The living and dining area, on the third floor, has 30-foot ceilings and windows that overlook the harbor.

A sitting area, off the living area, has views of the harbor.

Get rid of the furnishings and let me decorate it myself - it would be an improvement.
