Default Rudyard Kipling's home in Vermont

Rudyard Kipling called Naulakha home in the 1890s. It is now a vacation rental property.

The home has been restored and contains nearly all original furnishings, including traces of Kipling's Bombay birthplace and British heritage.

Damn, this is awesome. I'd give a lot to stay in the room where Kipling wrote so much as a grocery list, let alone The Jungle Book.

Pretty house, nice location, but it is so stark on the outside..not a shrub or tree... and that lonely little rocking chair.

The inside is a bit 'heavy' and dark, but there is alot I like. It has great possibilities.

It is very..somber. Kind of depressing actually.

Does have great possibilities - this is what I picture Vermont as looking like.

    The inside though? Nope.

Hellllllllllll no. Looks like something out of a horror flick...the last house all the drama goes down in before Jason comes ripping through the screen door with a knife. Scary!

I'd live in my car if it was in Vermont. I love Vermont.

Vermont is beautiful. The outdoors looks stark in winter but the rest of the seasons are awesome.
