    Default Château Couronne

    Chateau-Couronne

This amazing hotel is situated in an ancient castle in one of the most picturesque and historical regions of France. The name of the castle literally means “castle - crown”. The present-day owners turned this antique mansion in a cozy and stylish hotel
which gained recognition and attention of celebrities. Posted by christelle at 08:56 5 comments

it's a beautiful space but it could have been so much better. i'm all for mixing modern and old but their choice of modern pieces sucks. those fuchsia sofas in the bedroom are awful and so is that green armchair. and what's with the horrible carpeting in the rooms? the dubious artwork has to go as well.

Does make an interesting hotel. Couple of nights-fine. Whole month-no.

Frankly most of it is hideous, especially the rooms in the 3rd and 4th pictures.

They should have included a shot of the exterior.

    Don't like it.

I agree, the pink sofas are bad, but I'd still have it, it's a gorgeous place

Very nice spaces, detailing, etc. but it is a bit monochromatic, and the few times they added color, they used horrific stuff, and horrific colors. Why?

That green chair looks like a headless, limbless woman stuffed into a heinous dress 4 sizes to small!

Ha! I was wondering your opinion! My first thought was, we give it to you & you could turn it around in short order.

    Excellent description!

All it needs is a little shag carpeting to fully embrace the 70's

You're too kind. I mean, look at that place. It's Liason Dangereuse right there. Even well selected modern pieces would work, but the schlock above? That's how they decorate Paris monthly rental apartments. The apartments are from 1850 with great architecture and then they have purple velvet shag carpets.
