    Default Campbells' coup

Modernist furniture may signal worldly tastes, but its American origins lie in Michiganís humble reaches. Itís here that Keith and Mary Campbell renovated a lakeside cottage into a rustic stage for their heirloom mid-century pieces.
Built around the twin trunks of a maple tree, the Campbellsí outdoor deck provides tranquil views of the lake and a chance for the family to spot roaming wildlife while enjoying their morning coffee. During warmer months, the wide space creates an ideal secondary dining room, shaded by the canopy of leaves overhead.

With the help of a local contractor, the Campbells ripped out drywall, reconfigured windows, and gave up a garage in the well-worn ranch house.

    The living room, before renovation.

Too much wood! (And I'm not the kind of girl that usually says that, if you know what I mean.)

Love the space, but it is way too much wood for me as well. I love the kitchen.

I really like this! Wood in the woods. Lovely setting. Not that fond of the red trim...I could make do.

Hahahaha..it's in Michigan and the outside color scheme is pretty much scarlet and gray!~

I wish they would have treated or stained some of the wood. Too much plain wood. Some variety would have been nice.
Don't slap me, cause I'm not in the mood!
