    Default A loft with history

Michael D'Souza, the owner of Mufti, a home furnishings store in London, bought his 1,500-square-foot apartment near the Thames for around $650,000 in 2002.
The apartment is in a 17th-century house that was once part of a tapestry works, where tapestries were woven for royalty.

I love the ceiling beams but they don't really mesh with the rest of the decor

Yeah..the house is great and has the wonderful wooden beams and all..and then they do it all in stark black and white. ?

but that could easily be changed, and it is really a charming place.

Also I would not just want an apartment in the house..I would want the whole damn house for my own. This part could be the 'guest' area.
