Default A former shop becomes a house in Singapore

Amy Long and TQ Shang's shophouse, in a suburb of Singapore, was built around 1950. The facade was preserved, but most of the interior has been rebuilt. At left, the living area flows seamlessly into the garden, dining room and kitchen. The sunburst wooden coffee table and safari chairs with Argentinian leather frames came from Dahlia Gallery in Singapore.

I like the indoor/outdoor spaces and I love the red bookcase and coffee table in front of it. With a few tweaks I'd live there.

i like it a lot. both their sofas suck though and i like the red bookcase but i hate the colour of the wall behind it.
i also don't care for the cone shaped lamp in the second pic or the dining room furniture. but everything else is great and they have fabulous coffee tables.

Nice with a capital "N". Would add some splotches of color (there are colors outside of brown and white, really), but the space is wonderful.

I love this house, esp. the garden and the staircase.

I love the garden too. I also like the house, would add a bit more here and there, but I actually like most of the furniture. A little spartan, but not a big deal.

What is up with all those chair crammed together at the dining room table-they need to lose at least a pair of those..too many along the long end of the table. That table is not long enough for eight chairs, and two more at the end! It makes it look 'staged' and not real.
Don't slap me, cause I'm not in the mood!
