Default A 17th-century home in Hattingen, Germany

This six-bedroom house in Hattingen, Germany, was built in 1614, and occupied by Dutch soldiers during the 30 Years' War of 1618-1648, according to the listing agent. The garden has a pond deep enough to swim in.

Wow, it's gorgeous. The bookshelves alone are enough to hook me, but the whole house is a beauty. The bedroom furniture leaves plenty to be desired, though.

Love it, but it looks like it would be really cold in the winter.

The house and the libraries are wonderful. The yellow and the dead animals on the floor are horrendous.

Yeah, I was sitting here going "Ooh!" and "Aah!", then along came the yellow wall.

Love the house though. Gimme that cellar.
