Default A lofted beach bungalow

With the end of summertime quickly approaching, it’s hard not to have vacation on the brain. The Brown/Saide Residence in the Hamptons is a perfect mix of modern set in the country. The lofty residence was designed by Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz in collaboration with architect Brian E. Boyle and was built in the ’80s. The 6,700 sq. ft. residence is both private and perfect for entertaining when the owner’s feel lead. The exterior of the house is almost camouflaged by the lush, natural landscaping, creating an organic aesthetic that you would think might continue indoors. However, step inside and you will find the space is anything but. Rather, the interior features a clean, white palette, highlighted with bits of color and sleek furnishings. The striking contrast works, proving modern can be done in any context.

Well, I haven't seen too many places that are whiter than this sucker is. I'd take care of that pronto - my cats would have those couches and chairs covered in black hair in a New York Minute. Trying to decide whether or not I like the bathroom.

The outside is AWESOME. So unique, so interesting! Then.....the inside. Certain aspects I like...but really, the WHITE is outta control. Come on. Has sooo much potential. Just throw some color, ditch some of the furniture---you got yourself a winner.

I like the layout of the home, but all the white looked horrible. Oh and the furniture is plain ugly!

The inside is awful! I don't care for the outside of the house - it looks like landscaping that took over and is attacking the house.

I would decorate it differently and gut the kitchen.

All that white - it'd be like being trapped in the Snow Queen's palace.

I love the outside, it's gorgeous. The inside needs some color, but other than that I like it.

Even the concrete sheep are white. On a sunny day you'd get snow blindness after 2 minutes in that place.

It's so white and sterile, I'd be expecting a nurse to walk in with meds and jello any moment.
