Default Light and bright kids' bath

Old houses often have just a single washroom upstairs for the whole family, and it's seldom kid-friendly: The tub's too deep, the sink's too high, and there's never enough bath toy storage. That was the situation at Marcus and Kristin Moomey's 1885 home in St. Louis, Missouri, and why they decided to build a pint-sized bath for their daughter, Ella, now 6. Problem was, they'd have to carve it out of the middle of the unfinished attic, reserving windows at either end of the top floor for bedrooms they'd planned. Plus, they wanted the space to have plenty of vintage charm. All on a budget.

Yes kids would love it - those with epilepsy, perhaps not.

I actually like it!! I'd be happy having that in my house and I don't have kids. What can I say? I like color!

i think it's adorable. and once the kids grow up, all they would have to do is repaint the insides of the shelves and remove the striped wallpaper. i love the sink and wallpaper.

it's a tub. with a shower. except it's one of those detachable phone showers like you have in europe and parts of south america, instead of the fixed-to-the-wall american ones.

so what, you squat in the half tub like a fucking hobo? Where's the shower curtain? How do you keep water from getting everywhere?

    LOL 'squat like a hobo'

it's not a half tub i don't think. it might be the angle of the pic that makes it look short.
you can see the curtain in the first picture, it's on a ring that goes all around the tub, and the shower is fixed to a metal pole behind the faucet, which also holds up the ring with the curtain. the shower can be affixed to pole and you can slide it up or down so it's at at the height you want.

that's when the tub is free standing. when it's attached to a wall, the set-up usually looks something like this:

i think they're great. i can't get used to the stuck-in-the-wall north american showers anymore. with these, it's also much easier to wash your hair if you're having a tub bath, or to give kids baths. and it's so much easier for cleaning the bathroom too because you can spray product all over the tiles and then use the shower to rinse it off.
