    Default A mod Manhattan apartment

William and Henry, the family’s yellow Labradors, relax on midcentury chairs in the foyer; the sculpture is by Chuck Price, the photographs are by Slim Aarons, the painting is by Julian Opie, and the wall color is Drab by Farrow & Ball.

she has some great pieces which i would love to steal but overall the place doesn't do it for me. it's too cluttered and there's too much going on, it's like mod with some candace bushnell thrown in and i'm not crazy about the girlie-girl decorating theme (kill the zebra-print poufs, the flower overkill, the stupid flower print cushions, the photos of marilyn) and there are just way too many knick-knacks and stuff. get rid of the surfboards too.
i really like the kitchen though and i love the blue wall colour in the bedroom. the bedroom's actually not bad but i would replace the bed with something less white and i don't like those massive white bedside lamps for a bedroom.

great pieces, some good ideas, but too cluttered.. and that carpet in the first shot needs to go.

i don't mind the clutter. it's more like 'local' clutter than 'global' clutter and i sort of like that. it makes the rooms seem more cozy cause i'm not too fond of the colours on the walls. if that makes sense..

    and i love that kitchen.

Yeah, do the dogs come with it? Love it. It's a great space. Love the blue color on the bedroom walls, and I love that "Idiot, nitwit....." wall art.

I like it but I'm really over adults using pictures of Marilyn Monroe as an attempted decorating short-cut to evoking a certain era or hollywood feel. She was a sad drug-addicted hooker. Get over her people.
