Default Mustard yellow and peppermint leaf

John Patrick Shanley, the playwright, director and screenwriter, lives in a three-bedroom apartment in Manhattan that is a mix of old pieces with kitschy new ones, and of all things bright.

Awful green. And I hate flaking paint. I really don't get those decorators who gush over pieces of furniture that look like they lived in a chicken shed for 60 years.
As Canadian as possible under the circumstances

The kitchen cabinets look like a kid got up there and scribbled over them. In my house, someone's ass would get a beating.

I can't warm to those types of sinks either, too reminiscent of a urinal.

That yellow rotting cabinet with the bust looks like a health hazard. Lead paint, ancient paint dust, splinters, anyone?

I guess if you want to stare at a gold mosaic "POETRY" because it inspires you while you take a crap or wash your ass, that's your business, until you splash it on the internet, that is.

    The rest is generally tacky.

Good luck selling that place without a total repaint.

i like the first blue room.
i'd repaint the green room because it looks like the ceiling is coming down. too claustrophobic for me.
i like the kitchen but the mustard colour gets old fast, i think.
the dining room is a thorn in my eye. i'd repaint the whole thing & keep the table.
the bedroom: i don't really like turquoise. i'd throw out the furniture & the chandelier, too.
i'll keep the cabinet with the bust on top.
i like the bathroom. wouldn't immediately touch it.
    shower needs a redo.
i'd repaint the horizontal striped walls & that little heart on the floor has to go, too. and maybe look for a nicer looking banister.

Plain awful. Perhaps he gets his inspiration for his work living around walls that never sleep.

I kind of like this. Not all of the colors but overall, it seems cozy.

And I'm a sucker for red rooms.
