It is beautiful, but what do they do without the storage space?

It's a million times better. I wonder what it cost, because they even redid the ceilings.

OMG, I so freaking LOVE that fridge. MUST get for my next fridge.

And wow, I just noticed the school-bus color stove. That's interesting.

I couldn't cope with this new kitchen - no counter space.

Love the "after", but as people have said - where's the counter space and are there any cupboards anywhere else not in the picture? Doesn't look like there's anywhere to store stufff.

i like the fridge. i like the oven, too. but i don't like the way it's organized, not enough space to move in between furniture & also the fact that it seems more bottom-heavy now because they lost half or more of their cabinets. and i hate that wrought iron thing on the wall.

eta: maybe if they did something with that island in the middle & got rid of the ugly stools, it'd look better.

i also hate the wrought iron thing and yes, there's something awkward about the island thing in the middle. i love the stools though.
also, i don't agree that they lost that many cabinets - if you notice, there is a dish rack thing to the right of the sink (basically cabinets without doors), and the same cabinets there were before to the left, it seems they only lost the cabinets above the stove, which makes sense since those always end up with cooking grease stuck to the bottom.

That's my thing. I would rather deal with the old look if it means keeping storage and countertop space.

The pics don't show the whole room but there's no storage or counter tops and it will be a nightmare to keep clean. I don't like over-clinical kitchens but this is too bitty.

they have the counters to either side of the sink, plus the wooden table with the cutting boards (i'm assuming they're kept there because the table is used as a work space), plus the island. if anything, there is more work space after than in the before pic.
