Default Modern home in Cape Town

This modern house at the foot of the Table Mountain in Cape Town (South Africa) belongs to Sean Matias. This British director has created an original mixture between contemporary art, African influences and old Europe. In the living room the eye is inevitably drawn to the large painting by Conrad Boytes. One of the many art works from the great collection of contemporary art from the owner. The sofa is covered with a soft fabric flowers from Home Fabrics. Facing the sofa, there are two chairs ‘Louis Ghost‘ by Philippe Starck (Kartell).

Everything looks way too busy it makes my eyes cross. I'd like that first painting if it didn't have the cowboy on it.

The artwork is bizarre. I like the conservatory and its view up the mountain and I also like those transparent perspex dining chairs for some reason. Burn the rest.

I like the sun room and the pool. The rest is gross, especially the art.

I really enjoyed the art in the house...it made it unique and personal and I thought it was pretty cool. I don't personally have the vision to do something like this, and thats probably a good thing, but it's still a great house.

Love it! It is bold & expressive and above all, not boring! This is done to please the owner & hang the rest!

It could be a great house with a more subtle interior. For the main part, it looks awful.

    Oh I love this.
I'd get rid of the furniture and bring my own. It looks awesome.
