    Default Penny's apartment decorating thread

So, I'm moving into an apartment in approximately two months.. SO EXCITED! .. And I wanted to put all my potential furniture, house-wares, linens, accents, etc in one thread and bounce ideas off of you guys. I'm going for kind of a folksy, romantic type of thing... it's hard for me to describe.. I want some good basic pieces and I really want to inject some fun and personality into accents like mirrors and pillows and stuff.. I'll update this thread as I come across stuff I think I might like. This is going to be so much fun!

    Simple coffee table..

A pretty chair for the living room..

Are you going to (or can you) paint the walls?

Can't wait to see your ideas! It's very exciting to get your own place.

I think I can paint my walls provided I paint them back when my lease is up... I never thought of that.. I think I'll go crazy with white walls!

Neutral sofa.. not sure if I'm crazy about this, but I know I do need a sleeper sofa in a neutral color if I ever want to change my decorating scheme. This one is just a maybe.

    ^^ Thank you!!

Moving on from living room stuff to bedroom linens.. I'm taking my bed, nightstands, and dresser from home up to my apartment (although, I really would like new ones ).. the bed is a dark, espresso-colored wood with a curved headboard and end made of wooden slats with about two inches between them and the dresser and nightstands are both dark, espresso wood with silver hardware.. pretty neutral.

I like this quilt a bit.. not sure what scheme I'm settling on for my bedroom, though..
