    Those stairs are too cool, and the coutyard is wonderful, but there is just too much wood in the house.

    ps: those kids look so protected in the courtyard. Just love the concept.

    I'm guessing this belongs to a Japanese family? Lots of sliding doors and natural wood. If these are publicity shots you'd think they take in the laundry (top pic). Those stairway drawers are a very clever storage idea.

    ^^In Toronto now we are promoting hanging up your clothes to dry as that saves a lot of energy. Plus the clothes smell great!

    i've never had a dryer. and not so much for environmental purposes but because dryers ruin clothes. they last a lot longer if you just air dry them.

    Pretty much all of what you said. I looooove the stairs, the need to incorporate that into every house.
