Default Living on a Costa Rican hillside

In Playa Hermosa, a small town along a pristine sandy beach, Mike and Karen Schneider built a two-story, five-bedroom house as a place to semiretire.

The Schneiders — he is 55, she is 51 — discovered Costa Rica while on vacation. An infinity pool extends to the edge of the property, overlooking a tree-covered hillside that is home to roaming groups of howler monkeys.

The kitchen is a bit dark, but I love the rest. What a way to retire.

Too much dark brown everywhere that's easily fixed. Otherwise it's fab. That view from the infinity pool is fantastic.

I like it a lot, except that shiteous tile in the bathroom.

ETA: Just looked again, the only thing I really like is the great room.
