The outside is nice, but I don't care for the inside.

The outside is great, the inside is okay but looks a bit dark.
The bathroom is a bit too industrial for me and again: death stairs.

The furniture looks cheap somehow, like it's all IKEA crap.

Sad - it seems totally divorced from it's environment - it could be mid town Manhattan, or well, anywhere. But people, it's ROME - open the windows and let the city in!

I really hate the interior. It's ugly and seems cramped. I don't think I'd take it even for the location.

They should be wheeled out and shot, how dare they destroy a perfect house to pretend to live in a post-industrial environment? The saddest thing is they must think that makes them edgy and creative

Wow. Such potential that space had. The space could be great. Could be. I hate to say this, but lighten the place up a bit. Dare I say, it needs more..*gulp*..'white' -and alot more color as well!

'Becky, look at that house. I don't know why people can live in it. They only like it cause it is in Rome ya know. It is just sooo...beige!!!!'

it does need a little more white.
and i don't think they ruined the house at all - just because it's outside rome and an old house, doesn't mean you have to go for the typical italian country look. and they didn't ruin anything at all - they left the original walls and beams, just changed the style of the furniture.

i would change the sofa and some of the furniture and paint the outside a different colour but overall i like it.

Yes they at least left the walls and beams, it would be easy to change it into something wonderful at least. But my GOD, is it beigey! It is almost as beige/dull-earth-tone as my tiny bedroom, and my bedroom is soul-killingly ugly!

Can't you see what they have done to the ceilings/floors, stair opening? The way they have cut a piece of the floor in the bedroom so you can't even approach the window, and the following pic on the bottom floor you have a ceiling that cuts through the window, it's complete madness, they've made it inhabitable. And I'm not even talking about the materials (floors, stairs, etc...) that laminate is disgusting, I'm not opposed to the modernisation of an old house in principle, but this is a massacre
