Default Help me find an affordable recycling trash can

Can you guys direct me to a place that sells a great recycling trash can? I've looked all over and can't find one. I want one that is small, but has separated cans for recyclables. A friend had one that had 3 containers and it was brilliant, but I can't find one anywhere.

I found this, which is ideal, but its pricey:

What are your recycling systems? I need some ideas!

That is pricey-but it is also great! I have a stainless steel that I have had about 7 years now-still looks brand new. You will have that for mega years & it may save money replacing in the long run. I say, take the plunge and get it!

I went ahead and purchased this one and it is AWESOME. It just arrived today and its just great- very well-constructed. My favorite feature is that each of the individual bins lift out with a handle- this makes it super easy to take recyclables out to the curb.

Also, it is much shorter than I realized but it works out better because it fits under my kitchen sink. Just wanted to let you all know in case you are thinking of ordering one.

I wish we had curbside recycling here. Parts of the city do but not my area, I have to take everything a half mile away. Its a pain but Im doing my part

Very snazzy! Though I must admit I don't understand - can you put recyclables out in any container you want? Or is this just for storing them while they're in the house? Here we're issued blue and yellow plastic bins by the city (and in Toronto, just one giant blue bin). I think if we put ours out in something else they'd just assume it was the garbage can.

We have a city ordinance that requires recycling. If they find any recycling material in the regular trash you get a warning, and vice versa. After two warnings you get a ticket.

I recycled before it was required anyway. In California, aluminum cans are up to $1.59 pound.

Right, this is so I can separate my recyclables during the week, and then put them in the appropriate bins on trash day.

Wow that's awesome! I've never heard of such a thing. Where do you live?
