The discrimination in the regular night life must be over the top. It's nice that there is a discrimination-free zone.

Yep, my youngest brother likes big girls (think of Raven Symone ~ that's the body type he always dates)

Speak for yourself. I don't want to be thin, because I do love me and my body, and I'm quite proud of all of me. I have one hell of a silhouette, and whether I'm in a t-shirt and jeans, or I'm all gussied up..I look damn good.

^ Good for you I don't want to be thin either. A few pounds lighter maybe, but not thin. These clubs seem like quite a good idea.

If she wasn't self conscious, she wouldn't care if that happened.

You wouldn't care if someone "tipped" their drink on you?

Okay, great, but in that case it'd hardly be from a lack of self esteem. Unfortunately though, you'd end up getting your ass dragged out of the club. It's far easier to just avoid that shit altogether by getting to a club where there isn't going to be any drama because you don't live off of cigarettes and puking.

I'm not talking about scrawny thin. I'm talking about being toned, tight, and healthy looking. I still don't believe that anyone would PREFER to have cellulite, batwings, muffin tops, belly rolls, back fat, etc. instead. I didn't say fat people can't work what they have, but to say you'd RATHER be that way? I will never believe that. I've never known one fat person who hasn't been thrilled when they've lost any amount of weight. If they like being fat, why? I doubt it's solely because of the health benefits. Some girls will always be on the bigger end of the spectrum and carry a little more meat on their bones. There's a difference between being "healthy" looking and obese. Women who say they'd rather be the latter are lying to themselves and everyone else.

when someone is "eye catching"fat its a sign of illness and opening"fattyclubs" is some kind of encouragement which is totally wrong

Very interesting and novel concept, and I'm sure it will do well. Most women don't want to be in a place where they feel overly self conscious. Sounds like a very positive thing

Here's what I don't get -- all the reference to heavyset women at the club and the guys who are interested in them (thin or fat). And almost no quotes or references to heavyset guys in the article.
