I don't think anyone under 20 should be taking diet pills at all. That's way too young to screw up your body. You have age on your side, use it

I have been on it for a week and have already lost 5 pounds so it seems to be working for me as well.
I'm trying to get started on a diet. I went to LA Weight Loss Friday but I'm not doing that b/c they were going to charge me $800 to just lose 34 pounds plus the snacks and stuff they want you to buy each week.

I've read that the FDA has approved an OTC diet pill last week - it's apparently a weaker version of an existing pill for which a prescription is needed

And that would be an over the counter version of Xenical, a drug that binds to fat in your digestive track and removes it from your body before it can be digested. Unfortunately it's not a great weight loss drug because not only does it remove pesky fat from your diet but it also leaches out any vitamens from the food you eat. You have to take multivitamens with it.
But the worst thing is that a large number of people end up with gas, loose bowels and just generally unpleasant diarrhea-type ailments from this drug. Wear your Depends if you plan on trying this one. We've had several patients shit their pants at the office while taking this drug. Not for many people.

I don't need diet pills - I just think that it must be less dangerous than the drug mentionned above if it's FDA approved for weight loss

I don't think ANYONE should take pills. I personally wouldn't want to risk dropping dead of a heart attack at 15yrs old or sixty. Everyone can lose weight, no matter what age. Some people just use it as an excuse.

That could have been 5pounds of fat, or most likely fat, water and a little muscle. Losing more than 2lbs per week after the first few weeks isn't a good sign. PLUS, if you're just starting, you could lose more than 2lbs at the start without pills.

I've tried it
My husband and I have been using Phenterfein since the beginning of February. We’re both cutting calories, eating fresh organic foods and starting a workout routine. We’re not obese, we’re just overweight at this point and we want to get back to a healthy weight/lifestyle before any current bad habits get out of hand. Since we started taking Phenterfein, we haven’t felt a “Euphoric energy burst” that the websites talk about. But it definitely gives you a boost of energy and focus to either start a workout or just start the day (My husband says that it makes me talk fast. Lol!). It does contain caffeine, so anyone who wants to avoid caffeine should keep that in mind. Everything else is mainly herbal. In this case I don’t think that it’s what you take, it’s the amount that you take. If you’re sensitive to stimulants then you should go easy on this. I’m not very sensitive to stimulants and I only take two capsules a day (one late morning and one late afternoon). But I’ve heard people say that they took 3 capsules at once on their first try. In my opinion, this was very unwise. Moderation people, that’s the key to everything )
Also, I wanted to see if it gave me any “crashing” effects, so I went off it for a week and I didn’t have any withdrawal/depression at all. In fact I almost forgot to start taking it again!
Whatever you do, always be sure to listen to your body. If it doesn’t feel right then don’t do it. Hope this helps.

I have lost almost 20 pounds now. I'm also dieting the right way plus I take the pills every once in a while or when I get stuck at a certain weight.

I'm researching on-line for something to further help with my success with Jenny Craig and I am torn between Phenterfein and Ephedrasil Hardcore. I went on JC last July and lost 25lbs from July til November and have maintained up until last month, now I am inching up again and would like something that will get me back on track, I still have about 20 lbs to go...

Hey, I don't mean to hijack this thread, or resurrect an old one or anything, but I have a question and didn't want to clutter the forum with another thread.
Anyway, I'm a 16 year girl. I have hypothyroid disease (I take Synthroid for it), and because of my thyroid, it's really hard for me to lose weight. I don't eat junk food or drink soda or any of that. I'm actually very good with my eating habits for a teenager. I've tried exercising and going to a gym regularly, but it just doesn't seem to help me lose weight.
Anyway, I'm not terribly overweight (5'5" and about 160 pounds, a lot of which is muscle), but I would like to lose the excess body fat I've got so I can be a bit more confident about myself.
Long back story over, I've done a lot of research on diet pills, and it seems like phenterfein is the most effective. I'd really like to try it to see if it can get rid of the body fat I mentioned before. I'd really only need it to get rid of the fat, I could keep it off on my own. However, I'm concerned about the effects it'll have on my health. I am young, and the warnings for phenterfein say you shouldn't take it if you're under 18, but I really think it's the best way for me to go.
Is there anything specific I should look out for that could be a risk to my health while taking it?
Thanks for your help, and I hope I didn't bore you with my post.
