ACK.

Couldn't do it.

From what I've read if they are not cooked or pasteurised you could end up with a possible biotin deficiency which may interfere with protein synthesis and the complete release of food energy.

Dunno - is that true?

I like the power - I add glutamine and creatine to it with water and guzzle.

it's confusing...there's info for and against it

yes there is a protein disabler in egg whites I believe, which prevents the absorption of biotin. but it's not a thing that's like if you have an part of the protein all biotin is disabled (as in it can only disable so much). and a raw unheated egg yolk has hundreds of more biotin than the amount of disablers contained.

and we're not even sure if the human body processes this protein disabler correclty or not.

they're called anti-nutrients. all nuts and seeds have them, it's why you should soak them in cold water for a night or 4+ hours before you eat them, the water activitates them (enzymes are released that disable the protein disablers, etc and basically begin the life cycle). vitamins and nutrients can increase by folds just by soaking them in water. the vitamins and nutrients are there, but they're just held together in "locks" because the seed/nut is protecting them for germination.

Isn't there a risk of getting salmonella from raw eggs?

My grandma always told me moderation was the key to just about everything in life. Makes sense to me.

if the egg is fresh, i don't remember the ways to tell...something like spinning it, floating it in water, etc, etc just google it.

the egg is "pure" when it's hatched, it's completely sealed off from the outside world by the hard calcium shell, and an inner membrane. when it starts to age, especially in a fridge tiny fractures develop which allow bacteria to enter. so if it's fresh it's fine. washing an egg can help too funnily enough

Suede, thanks for the info, I tried pilates once and loved it, it is such a good workout especialyl for abs, but it was so expensive. I may splurge on a really nice gym, they have so many pilates and yoga classes I would love to take. I never knew egg white protein came in a powder, great to know I will get it for sure. I agree about soy, to much estrogen can't be good for women.

Oh sorry - I should have mentioned it.
You don't need to go to a place - buy them on tape/dvd

I like Winsor Pilates
