A quick way to drop weight is going on a high-protein, very-low-carb diet. The only problem is that it's hard to do for long since we naturally crave carbs (they're yummy).
But that'll help drop weight quickly, along with running/jogging. Nothing burns more fat in my opinion than running or jogging as exercise.

Work out like an animal. Never ran before? Ran until you feel like you puke. I know that sounds bad. but if you want to lose weight you have to work out like you feel like you are gonna die Today I ran, felt like I was gonna puke 30 min into it at 6.8 mph. But I forced myself b/c I knew I was burning calories and fat!

Ah yup.
Ever train legs or back and actually almost toss your cookies?
I've only tossed once which is just nasty but there's a great rush in having a sick workout - now if I could just desire that rush more I'd be real happy.

There is no need to exercise till you puke - curse that lactic acid! In fact, if you over-exercise to the point of exhaustion and you get your heart-rate too high your body stops burning fat so it's better to do something moderate for a longer time than blast away until you puke. If you want to burn fat take a 1hr power walk, not a 10min sprint.

Well that's not entirely true.
There's something call HIIT High Intensity Interval Training that has been found better at burning fat than steady state cardio. I've been doing it for quite some time now and I quite enjoy it - I can actually break a sweat, elevate my heart rate and I don't have waste an hour of my life on the treadmill.
Here's some info about it from:
http://davedraper.com/hiit-cardio-training.html
High Intensity Interval Training
For all those interested in efficient fat loss
Ingrid Marcum writes:
The reason that High Intensity Interval Training works better for fat loss is this: When you do a cardio session at the same pace the whole time, your body goes into what is called steady state. This means that your body has adjusted itself to the speed you are going and tries hard to conserve energy (calories). You will be able to avoid this and burn more calories and FAT by doing the interval training.
The easiest way that I tell people to do it is to start off at a good pace for 5 minutes. Then take up the intensity on the machine and go as hard and as fast as you possibly can for a minute and then bring it back down for a minute or two — however long it takes for you to recover enough to do it again. ANY cardio machine will work — I like the treadmill and the elliptical trainer the best.
Another easy way to introduce yourself to this kind of cardio without killing yourself right off the bat is simply to keep changing your speed and intensity level every two minutes or so — go up and down — challenge yourself. This will "trick" your body into burning more calories since it can not achieve steady state.
When it comes to the heart rate question— whether to stay lower or higher — this is your answer. At a lower % of max heart rate (65%), a larger percentage of calories burned come from fat than at a higher heart rate (75-85%). HOWEVER, despite the percentages, you will burn more total calories and therefore more total fat calories at a higher heart rate.

That was kinda what I meant - but you explained it much better! My point was that it's pointless to blast away at max intensity - the interval theory is better. It's pretty safe to say that if you exercise flat out till you puke you are not actually achieving anything.

well I decided after a long thought. I joined a gym. 30 minutes each of cardio to get my heart rate up, a little light training and another 30 minutes of cardio. I should be in good shape in no time. I am not to happy with the way I look and since their is no quick fix, I might as well do it the old fashion way. sweat my ass off!!

^ you go, girlie!
It's always hardest to take that First Step, but once you get into a regular routine, it'll be great. Keep it up!
