I think anything that has to put miracle in their title tends to have some problems attached to it. What the conditioning training one is talking about is resistance training using isometic contraction - using gravity and the bodies own strength to work muscles. I was skeptical about what thoes kind of exersices could do for me, but after a while of doing them (and it is high rep workouts) I actually saw a marked improvement in tone and strength. Resistance is a good way to help encourage the body to burn fat, but without cardio you're never going to shed it. As my martial arts instructor once said - you cant flex fat.
If you really want to do something quick that could shed fat, burn calories by raising your heart rate while toning I reccomend doing things like walking lunges with a bicep curl or plyometric exersices.
