Default Phenterfein (Diet Pill)

Has anybody ever used phenterfein or know someone who has?

Any bad or good comments about the pill would be appreciated.

Do you mean phentermine?

It comes in different strengths (mg) and it will supress your appetite and give you energy (YMMV), however, it can't just be discontinued (sites may say you can though). The result of stoping can cause rebounding and depression.

It works very well some people and keep in mind this is a prescription drug even though you can get it on the internet.

This is dangerously close to spam VanillaRice. Link to a site that isn't trying to sell it.

how is this spam? I'm asking what it is...thought a message board was meant to discuss things.

I typed it in to google to make sure I spelled it right and thats what came up so she/he would know which one I was talking about.

I said it was "dangerously close" to spam, I didn't say it was spam, although if you hadn't been posting here before, I probably would consider it spam. I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

http://www.sybervision.com/reviews/R...henterfein.php This site reviews it.

I changed it to that and then you said it was spam!

Well, that's interesting because when I clicked on your link it took forever to load, and there was a hard sell right at the top. Perhaps I got a different version somehow. Anyway, don't get all bent out of shape about it. We ban spammers every day on this board; I simply want to be sure.

I banned a spammer about two minutes before your thread appeared. I am deleting both our links because I still think it is too much like spam, even if you didn't intend it that way.

No, I had a different link at first and then changed it to the one you had. The first link was just the first one I had saw on google but then I saw that other one and changed it in my post. Maybe you were editing my post or whatever when I changed the links. I still don't see how its close to spam though considering I have never tried the thing before and was asking if anyone else has before I bought.

Well, back OT, I'd be careful about trying any new diet product. The best, safest and most reliable way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat healthily and exercise. The diet industry makes billions off people trying to get around doing that -- I speak from experience -- but it's really the only long-term way to lose weight and keep it off. Otherwise it just comes back, and you gain more than you lost in the first place.

Okay, irregardless of the spam/no spam linkage angle I have to chime in that you have to be so careful of taking ANY type of diet drug. I have lost three friends to fatal pulmonary hypertension from Phenfen in the last five years and I lost a lot of weight on Meridia before it gave me sudden spikes in my blood pressure. Its banned now in Europe. None of this stuff is good for you, very hard on your body and with all sorts of side effects.

Unfortunately the only real way to lose weight is to a) decrease your caloric intake and b) get more exercise (like Noday did). There is no magic pill or quick/easy solution.

I used phentermine for about a month and it did totally and completely take away my appetite. It is molecularly similar to speed so it should. I liked the sense of control it gave me over my food choices. However, with my mood disorders it was not a good mix. I had (more) problems sleeping, needed more benzos to take the edge off and just decided to stop taking it. I was able to get my doc to write a RX (she will write anything) but is IS a controlled substance. Really, the companies making it say it shouldn't be prescribed to those with a history of substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety/depression, high blood pressure...I have 3 outta 4. I stopped taking it cold turkey after a month but how in the hell would I know if I had rebound depression? Oh, and it is not Phen/Fen-that was a combo drug that caused heart valve issues.

I googled it.

The name clearly is to make consumers think it's like phentermine but "over the counter". The ingredients are that of most fat burners I've seen on the market and with a $149 price tag "marked down" just under $80 I can think of a few other products that it's trying to compete with in a similiar market.

Most fat burners will work for all people for a set period of time but there is no magic pill that will replace a clean diet. Fat burners should really only be used when you've hit a plateau or in addition to a clean diet and cycled on and off every two weeks.

But that really doesn't answer your question.

Is this the old Phen-Fen drug?? If so, it's very dangerous. I remember the FDA banning it or something. Sorry for being vague, but that's what I remember.

ETA: Sorry, I see from the above posts that it's not PhenFen...nevermind
