Have you tried/heard of Chantix to quit smoking

Any one tried or heard of Chantix? My doctor gave me a prescription of it to help me quit smoking. She raved about how great it is for taking away the desire for nicotine. It's a pill with no nicotine and she says few complaints about side effects. I didn't fill the script yet, I'm not sure my insurance will pay for it & don't know the cost of it yet.
