Fitness DVDs
I think it wasn't fair of me and Reina to exploit Hockeyhorse's thread to discuss our Carmen Electra's dvds, so I thought I'd start a new thread.
Has anybody else tried these dvds or other fitness dvds, and want to share your experience?
Please go ahead, be my guest

I alternate workout dvd's - using disc 2's workout one day, and a Karen Voight dvd another.
I'm looking for a new dvd. I think what I'd like to see is one that has intense dance moves on it. I was at this homecoming powwow (that's what it's called) the other night and they had the dance girls. Some of the moves were like Carmen's dance moves, but these were intense and different. I wouldn't be able to do the flips and all, but the rest - that would be cool, and looks like a really good workout.

I use Winsor pilates - the rest I do on my own.
Firm is really good - but I'm a spaz and even alone I'm too self aware of being a klutz.

Yeah, I have the whole set. I'll have to revisit that one. It didn't seem to be quite the workout that those dancing girls were doing, but that's fine.
Of course, the lap dance that Carlos Mencia's midget was doing to this one chick he pulled on stage was pretty energetic. The Carmen lapdance is hot, but not quite as much shaking of the ass and handstands that the midget did.
But I digressed. I don't think that Mencia will have plans for a midget lap dance workout dvd. Or maybe he should!

You lost me on the midget. I know who Carlos is-I watch his show on Comedy Central.

Saw him the other night when I saw those dancers. He had this midget dude come out on stage and perform a lap dance on a girl from the audience. It was really energetic. Talking about Carmen Electra reminded me of it

Its funny you know I've been using disc 1 &2 of carmens dvds for about 2 weeks now and everyone is telling me how great I look. Despite the fact that I've been doing martial arts for years. I guess I must be getting that 'dancers body' carmen always mentions.
Gotta try the hip hop one - for its the box set I have. It looks fun and some of the moves look really good for a few MA demos I have coming up. Always fun to make Martial Arts look pretty rather then...evil. lol.
Here there's a show (which has DVD's) called Aerobics Oz Style, they do all kinds of stuff that isnt Aerobics (belly dancing, yoga, pilates etc) but I always find their banter grating and the way they instruct makes me cringe. I cant imagine someone doing it for the first time without any previous experience and not injure themselves. There is only a 5 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down! How is that doing anything?
I've tried other workout dvd's in the past, but they were all so BORING.
Damn my ADD.

Which belly dance ones do you have? I have a couple of Neena and Veena (I think that's their names) dvds.

Ah yes, well that is the key isnt it. I do work out every day, partly because I want to and partly because without It I would probably end up a psychotic mess (hyper activity issue). Each day is different for how long it is. Depends on when I wake up and how humid it is. Usually its an hour and a half each day, sometimes its less. I dont always do the disks. I'm a big fan of the fitness ball I also do stationary bike interval training and I do Karate 3 times a week.
It sounds a lot more exteam then its is. Like I said, I have A LOT of excess energy. I'm having problems sitting down right now, so if I didnt exercise hard almost every morning I would lose focus so easy and quickly during the day.

I tried Carmen Electras first striptease workout dvd and didn't like it. Maybe I just couldn't get into it but it felt like I wasn't getting any workout. Maybe the others and more intense? Maybe I didn't get far enough into it? For those that have done them, are the others better?
I do have the Billy Blanks Taebo Abs and Butt dvd and that one is intense!! No easy workout there but I did it for a couple weeks and my boyfriend said I look amazing and he could definitely tell improvement. (and he's not one to throw compliments around)

Disc 2 is more of a workout than 1, IMO.
Is tae-bo hard on the knees in any way? I've learned tricks to avoid hurting my knees, but if it's high impact or anything I will have problems.
