How much weight can you lose in 2 weeks?
Does anyone know how much weight is it possible to lose in 2 weeks?
I need to know and then tell me the way to do it and I'll put it to the test b/c I need to for a party at the end of the month.
Although I do know from my own personal experience that I lost about 14lbs. in 2 weeks (no joke) from a tuna diet w/ helpings of veggies and a little fruit each day and I even occasionally cheated and had a cracker or peanut buttered toast, but this was before I knew how mercury-filled tuna is and it was about a year and 1/2 ago, but it really worked though (the high protein diet) and I excersised a little too. It was hard b/c there's so few calories in a diet like this, but somehow I managed and I never really gained the weight back although I'm sure I put back on a little fat.

Re: How much weight is it possible to lose in 2 weeks?
I watched a show on Style Network the other night about Celebrity Slimdown Secrets, and one trainer gave a diet for a short-term slimdown (like to be red carpet ready). It was nothing but lean protein and veggies. I've got a beach trip coming up in 3 weeks, so I'm trying to figure out how to implement it in my life. I don't like a lot of veggies. And I would still have to cook for my family so the temptation would be strong. Plus, I am exercising a lot, and I'm already hungry all the time, so I just don't see how I would get by. But I'm willing to try it for a week or so.

The most I've ever heard of anyone losing is 30 lbs, which obviously isn't healthy. Maragaret Cho said she did when she first got her television show, but then she ended up in the hospital because her kidneys failed.
The guy who trains Heidi Klum and Liv Tyler has a diet book/exercise plan that's supposed to have you drop 10 lbs and 2 sizes in two weeks. You can read the gist of the plan in the reviews on amazon - it's basically all low-fat proteins, vegetables, small meals, and lots of exercise.
Also, if you decide to test the low fat proteins & veggies and manic workout plan - I'll join you!

I think in her standup she references working out for 3 or 4 hours in the morning with that Tae-Bo guy and eating little cartons of vegetables that someone delivered to her house. She wasn't that specific, for obvious reasons.

Well, that also said that the celebs get colonics and enemas before red carpet events. I don't know if I would go that far....

^^ Yes. I also think a lot of what the celebs do before events is just get rid of the bloat. Probably up their water intake, avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks, anything that causes bloating so they don't look any bigger than they need to.
