Re: Nominations for December's Book
Yeah - the bookclub seems to have faded away. Maybe we should organise a poll to find out how many people are still interested. We also have to get a bit more organised about choosing a book and sticking to a monthly schedule to read/discuss it.

Yeah, I just found the book club, too, and I'm thrilled. I'll order that Bryson book right away, if it's okay that I join. How do we discuss it then, in a seperate thread?
I'm such a little dictator, though. There are so many books that I want people to read SO bad. I'm constantly harassing my friends, but they are lazy!

Hey, I just found this section too. For those people who wanted to read In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, I'm with you! Love that book. I'm willing to read anything, if someone picks and this starts up again, let me know!!

I'm in, I could use a good book.
A great one on social commentary, especially with the new Democratic congress coming in, is 'Nickel and Dimed' by Barbara Ehrenreich. She goes undercover working minimum wage jobs to see how millions of Americans do it everyday.

I have read the chapter about Maids and house cleaners for my writing class last semester and it was amazing. She's such an interesting writer.
Can I join the Bookclub too?
