God this is so tragic...I loved Chris Benoit when I was a wrestling fan... I used to love it when Chris Jericho used to antagonise him by calling him Chris Ben-oyt. I'm just staggered by this...he must have either been a total whackjob or completely high... it's awful.

If the child was killed first, then who's to say that the wife didn't kill the child? Of course, if the wife was killed first...then it's safe to assume he killed both...

"Officials have confirmed the horrifying details in the deaths of wrestling superstar Chris Benoit and his family.

In a statement by a member of the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department, "Mr, Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area.""

True...perhaps he confessed in his suicide note... I just read up and there have been a spate of wrestlers dying in the past couple of years especially, it's insane. I stopped watching maybe four or five years ago, and the only things I hear about it now is when people die, which is alarmingly often. Terrible shame...

They found roids in the home and no suicide note. I am not surprised he was on roids. His body has been so damn battered. Who knows how much he had to take just to use his rebuilt shoulder(s)!

This is fucked up. Now that a child has died, maybe those huge muscles will be called into question.

No sympathy for him. I don't care what was in his system or what his friggin boss told him to do. You don't go killing your children, and certainly not wives. When I first heard this, being a counsellor for abused women and children, I pretty much knew what the story was, as it happens too many fucking times and the poor murdering bastard always has some reason why he snapped and killed his own friggin child. Cry me a river.

Maybe I've counselled too many grandparents and relatives of dead children because their abusive fathers couldn't bear to relinquish control over their families when they finally decided to rid the Earth of their presence and that I'm bitter about it.

With this, I think we just have to wait for the official final release from the authorities. No one knows for sure. Only the three that are gone know what happened.

Amen. As I said before his past fame should have no bearing on the crimes he committed. Lots of people have taken roids and never killed their children or wives. I'm afraid if it wasn't for his popularity and fame, many would be condemning his actions point blank.

Well now that the whole story is out I totally agree with you he's scum if you want to off yourself fine don't take the whole family with you sick fuck and who sits with dead bodies for a day damn this is just weirder the more i read

WWE has released a time line of the events that happened the days Chris Benoit murdered his [COLOR=#ff00ff! important][COLOR=#ff00ff! important]family[/color][/color] and then took his own life.
On Sunday morning between 3:53 and 3:58 a.m. after he killed his wife Nancy and their son in their home, Benoit sent a total of 5 text messages to people from his and his wifes phone. He sent the same message four times that read "My physical address is 130 Green Meadow Lane, Fayetteville, Georgia." And one more from his phone that said "The dogs are in the enclosed pool area. [COLOR=#ff00ff! important][COLOR=#ff00ff! important]Garage[/color][/color] side door is open."
According to a press release obtained by TMZ, WWE was told of the messages on Monday. They say Chris had hanged himself on Sunday. The organization said Chris had contacted WWE on Saturday to tell them his wife and kid were sick and he would not be able to attend a WWE live event in Beaumont, Texas. They rescheduled his ticket for him but were unable to confirm their plans with him.
On Monday, officials were told of the text messages and asked the Sheriff's office to check on Chris and his [COLOR=#ff00ff! important][COLOR=#ff00ff! important]family[/color][/color].

About 4 p.m. that day, police told WWE they found three bodies. After they learned of what had happened, "As facts emerged surrounding the case, all tributes to Chris Benoit were removed both on-air and on WWE.com," the release stated.

What a tragic turn of events. Just terrible.
