When it's his weekend with those kids, he usually drops them off with Britney and heads to Vegas. I'm glad to see that she actually realizes that Kevin and Shar's relationship is not acceptable. She has every right to be angry or jealous. My parents are divorced and have three children, and my dad is remarried. The contact that he has with my mother is limited to matters directly pertaining to us, their children. They're still civil with each other, however, they absolutely do not go clubbing together or spend time together without us and without his wife. Nor do any other divorced couples that I know of in the same situation. Kevin gave up his right to "spend alone time" with Shar when he married Britney. So while I agree that he won't be able to cut Shar off completely, there's no longer a reason for him to have anything to do with her that does not directly pertain to the children that they have together. The relationship that Shar and Kevin have, as well as the comments that she makes to the press, are completely inappropriate. He and Shar are not together anymore, and she clearly isn't okay with that. It's understandable that Britney is uncomfortable with Kevin spending so much time with an ex who obviously isn't over him, and Kevin needs to respect that.TE][/quote]

I'm not sure I agree with the idea that divorced parents who remarry shouldn't have any relationship other than to do with the children. I know quite a few people who are very good friends with thier ex's. And I know quite a few who spend alot of useless time and energy hating their exes. I think it's best if you realize there was something about that person that you once loved and try to build a friendship on it. And your current spouse should realize that this is the mature, grown up thing to do. I mean, one couple I know have married others and all the families go on holiday together. The original couple still care about each other very much, they just basically don't want to fuck each other anymore.

I agree. It is best if both people have the maturity to understand that they once had something, now they don't except a child, they should get along as friends. It makes it easier for the kids. Plus it is easier on the adults. The problem in Brit's case is no one has the maturity to understand any of this. Brit seems desparate to hang on to Fed at any costs, and he seems to know it (that type always does).
