It was passable, but nothing original. Certainly better than most of the dreck out there, but it was too obvious.

but not really true, since there wouldn't have been a crash without an 'amores perros' so really it was iñarritu that started it, haggis is just a copycat with no subtlety.

ITA. I thought she played the scene just fine. A woman would be angry and then sad that her husband was afraid to jump in. If she'd just played it traumatized it wouldn't have been as believable. But if I were Terrance Howard I wouldn't try to mess with the Matt Dillon character. They were in different leagues, and as a man the Terrance Howard character sure as hell knew that.
