True, because growing up with feelings of rejection and low esteem can cause a person to take those same feelings onto their adulthood and they escape that pain by abusing alcohol and/or drugs, so of course she couldn't raise her children because she was messed up herself.
But I give Tatum credit for getting help for herself and turning her live around and living a clean and sober life. It's never easy, but her determination gave her the strength to change, and it's good that she talks about it because she's sending the message to other's going though the same thing, that there is hope for recovery and a new life.
BTW - Tatum's on the telenovala Wicked, Wicked Games on MynetworkTV, and the Girl can still act! She plays a jealous, evil woman seeking revenge on her ex-boyfriend and she plays her well. I'm hooked on that show, and I'm glad to see her back.
