I pray for Tom Cruise too ... I pray he falls off the face of the earth and is never seen nor heard from again.

Jesus H., I've been a freaking atheist for 13 years and I can name the 7 deadly sins AND the 10 commandments. What an idiot. If you're going to be an outspoken Evangelical in the public eye....especially if youre some celebrity asshole with a previous history of partying, drugging/drinking it up, and whoremongering...and I have to listen to your bullshit excessively, then dammit you should at least be able to spit out your bible school basics!
This was funny to me (another celeb praying particularly for Tom Cruise) until I read that. Then my focus was on my disgust at what a phony asshole Steven Baldwin is.

Or more specifically, to fly away in a spaceship to find his true family, never to be heard from again!

Tom Cruise is a "very different guy" then he was when they worked together on 'Born on the Fourth of July'??? Funny, Stephen, I'm guessing you're a very different guy than you were when you worked on the masterpiece 'Threesome'. Go thump a bible someplace else!
Damn it, I hate it when someone makes me defend Tom Cruise of all people. Crap!!

Yeah why can't it at least be an Xtian celeb I can take halfway seriously praying for TC? That'd be awesome.

I was going to answer along the same lines, Jesus said the most important commandment was to basically love God with all your heart and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. the "golden rule" so-called. Christians are not under the law so they do not tend to focus on the lists of laws & commandments like the Jewish people had to.
The "7 deadly sins" are not layed out in the Bible as such, so an evangelical Christian is not going to be concerned about knowing those. Maybe it is a Catholic thing, I'm not sure.
Sounds like the people who interviewed him tried to be snarky, but since they also don't know their Bible it kinda goes out with a whimper doesn't it?
Kudos to Stephen Baldwin, Tom Cruise does need prayer and he does need to realize his Thetan masters or whoever they are, are NOT going to get him to heaven.

the whole point of the evanglical movement is that you do not need to be wrapped up in the law, all one really needs to know is the gospel, which is that God came to earth, he shed his blood to cover the sins of mankind, died, was resurrected and rose again to triumph over sin and death for all eternity.
Tom Cruise needs to find the true and living God and forget all of his Scientology bunk. Reciting the ten commandments or being able to name gluttony as the 7th deadly sin or what have you isn't going to lead Tom Cruise or anyone else out of that false religion they are mired in.
Jesus died for Tom's sins, and loves him, and doesn't want him to perish. BUT if Tom doesn't ever hear the true gospel, then he is lost.
Good for Stephen. He may not be perfect, nobody is, but his heart and mind are in the right place.

Reason: clarified the golden rule and greatest commandment, left part of it out.

Sorry, but I don't buy this at all. What basically happened to Steven Baldwin was that he's not only an asshole, but an indiscreet idiot who got busted out by his wife for fucking around and already had other habits she was increasingly getting fed up with. So she laid down the law and gave him an ultimatum. This is also why he makes such a show of his 'turnaround'. His career was in the shitter anyway, so public evangelism and prostelysizing wasn't going to hurt. If anything, it'd be a novelty to bring him attention, as usually when celebs are seeking attention they strive to downplay stuff like that in attempt to be more palatable to the masses.

I really have to laugh when people start going on about the one true this and one true that. True for you but not for all. As Pattie Smith once said, Jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine.
And maybe ThetinTomThumb doesn't want to go to heaven (I hear there might be virgins there, which would scare the daylights out of him), maybe he wants Scotty to beam him up. Stop prostelysizing, Delphimium.
