Good. I can't stand that foul-mouthed bull dyke.
Ellen Degeneres on the other hand is a nice (and attractive) lesbian. I've had dreams about her and Michelle Rodriguez making out on the beach. HOT!!!!!

Uh-oh...watch out....you said almost exactly what I said and there's some people on here that can't take others opinions if they differ from their own regarding Rosie.
I love Ellen - she's very intelligent & well-mannered, attractive and speaks WITH her guests, not AT them like that know-it-all, loud-mouthed-hates-everyone/everything-in-life-BEOTCH, Rosie.
Ellen = nice woman/lesbian
Rosie = mean bull dyke

It's not Rosie-opinions that people have an issue with, its the slight undercurrent of anti-gay attitude running through them.. some people involved have been smacked down for it before.

I sometimes agree that Rosie can be grating, but I think a lot of it is delivery. If one listens to just the words/just the content one might find they actually agree - not saying one should, just that one might find they actually do agree with her at times. I don't always agree with Rosie, and sometimes her voice is a little over the top.
Calling someone a bull dyke is name calling and doesn't serve any good purpose anywhere. "That's some bull dyke right there, let me tell ya." I agree with Grimm, sounds rather homophobic to me - not that everyone who says it is actually homophobic.
We have such strong stereotypes about ourselves! Women should look, smell, act and sound very nice! And they shouldn't ruffle anyone's feathers! Men should deep-voiced, strong, assertive, not wimpy or meek-voiced etc. etc.
It's all quite obstructive of real communication. Another woman who gets beat down is Randi Rhodes, because of the ways she sounds. But if you LISTEN to what she's saying, her content is very good.
Now, just who is kicking ass in the House of Representatives? Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH). Now there is a real man. Looks and sounds like a wuss, but is very intelligent, passionate, determined. Always has been. Heard him speak in person and he blew me away. Watched him speak at the Democratic Convention and he was right on. AlterNet: Kucinich Files Articles of Impeachment Against Cheney
Maybe Rosie will become more politically active, but I doubt it. She's found her niche and is probably already working a deal for some kind of show that is her own. And it probably will make money.

I can't stand her anymore and I'm glad she no longer has a platform from which to spew her inanities. I haven't liked her since she was the host of One Night Stand.

It is true that she's gotten louder and more grating lately. She won't be able to perceive that though, because she doesn't care.

Uh....what's the difference here ^ that statement reeks of male bashing.
What, pray tell, is a "real" man?!
I assure you I am not homophobic. I have several friends, 2 bosses as well as co-workers of both sexes who are gay. And they refer to Rosie as a bull dyke because of her evil tempermant.

Wait just a minute cotjockey. People have made fun of Dennis Kucinich all over the place - in the news, on comedy shows.. that is a very well-known matter of record. It's still happening.
Do you not understand the process of illustrating a point? Just because I didn't word it really clearly does not make it male bashing.
This is not male bashing: "...very intelligent, passionate, determined. Always has been. Heard him speak in person and he blew me away."

And people have made fun of Rosie all across the same media, what's the difference?
I got your illustrated point, and I'm truly not trying to be rude, but you just don't seem to see the irony of it all.

I do see the irony, but I think it's interesting that you chose to focus on the negative part of my illustration, instead of my actual point.
