Rod Stewart's secret daughter

He may be the biggest prick on planet earth but he was a kid when the girl was born, she was given up for adoption and raised by another family and I don't see where she has such a huge claim on him. She obviously isn't all that anxious to get on with the birth mother, but maybe that's because the birth mother is a forgotten footnote in rock 'n' roll history.

Let me put it this way: if I gave a kid up for adoption many years earlier, had moved on with my life and then that kid, now grown up, popped up in my life, I'm not sure I'd want them there. When you haven't seen a kid grow up, there isn't the same bond. And I guarantee that if he wasn't 'Rod Stewart', she wouldn't be making such a stink now.

Well, I can only speak for myself but if I ever put a child up for adoption, it would be because I had to, and not because I wanted to. I would hope the child would contact me one day so we could be together again. Even though someone else raised my child, it would still be a part of me and would be a part of my family.

Maybe Serenity but I think many wouldn't feel that way. I can't say for sure since I've kept my two little buggers but I think if I had made the decision to place the kid with another family, was young when it happened, had created a whole life without them in it, I can't say for sure I'd want them in it at this late date. Where is the bond? Alot of people have opted and continue to opt for closed adoptions so that this very thing doesn't happen. I can understand why. I suppose I'm sounding pretty cold-hearted here but who knows what the whole story is? Rod isn't saying and she just sounds pathetic. Move on, woman!
