I think the lawsuit isn't just because they want him to give credit, they want him to PAY for the photos. And they're singling him out because he's the biggest fish available to fry and make an example out of, plus he's been uncooperative and a complete jerk in dealing with them.

I hate him but I am nervous about the precedents this would set. I just wish the photo agencies wouldn't be so greedy and charge more reasonable fees so most sites could afford the pics.

Well the fact is they could sue any gossip forum or blog now and win anyway. There is no new precedent that has to be set.

Your right this has a lot to do with how much money Perez is making. Plus, the fact that he has been not only uncooperative but openly hostile towards them. It just isn't economically viable to sue a lot of bloggers because most don't have anything to give. However, Perez does have money to give. Plus, most bloggers are doing this for fun. Perez has made a career out of it. He's pulling in a lot of money, getting into magazines, and going on TV taking credit for mostly other people's work. That's why they are going after him.

I don't hate Perez like a lot of people do, but I do hate the way he marks up the photos on his website with a Sharpie pen. That's like something a 12-year-old would do. He sacrificed whatever credibility he has by whoring himself out to the despicable Paris Hilton. The best part of his blog is reading the comments where people talk about what a jerk Perez is.

Sad part is if he loses he has already made enough of a name for himself to convince some E! or TV Guide Channel producer to hire him for a show. And then, boys and girls, his pretty mug will be all over the screen. Just like he wants it to be.

You just know that his celebriturd "friends" like Paris laugh at his fat ass (please take no offense, full figured friends, because I have about 20 lbs I need to drop, too) the second he turns his back.
