No. 17 cents a book could add up to quite a bit if the books sells well.

But why give your son's murderer a forum to speak? Why profit from the death of your child? The Goldmans and the Browns have my sympathy for their lost, but I wouldn't feel right making money off of this.

All the money in the world won't change the fact that the loved ones are dead.

No - I'm not going to contribute to this - Shame on Fred Goldman - no-one should profit from this crime, including him.

Well, slap my hand - turned out to be very interesting. Wanted to hear the Goldman's perspective. Turns out, Oprah got a lesson today, she learned something that differed from her opinion. I just knew it had to do something w/them going after OJ, stay right up his a$$ and think twice on a prospective income. He already got $ upfront and the book would be published regardless. It's not a profit that they're seeking, not blood money, but a way to shadow the monstor. And they were able to curtail the future income of the book for OJ. Right up his a$$.
The kids, the kids. Good thing is that they don't reside w/OJ.

Kim Goldman made a point- the ONLY justice they have ever gotten was the settlement awarded to them which OJ has said he will avoid paying by not working. However, he did work on this and wanted the money.
I wouldn't read it, but I think I support their right to publish it.

I read an excerpt from it on a website and it made my skin crawl. It was so creepy, self-serving and misogynistic. Imagine having your children read the kinds of things he said about their mother, never mind the fact that he murdered her and practically admits it in gory detail.

Once again, this creep doesn't give thought to his very own children. Kills their mother and does it again on writing this book. While Nicole and Ron lay in their graves from being butchered, he's living luxuriously and playing golf all day. The Goldmans initially stopped the publication, but when it resurrected, they pursued the rights of the book to stop OJ from further profiting. I hope they haunt him for as long as he lives.

I saw them on the Today Show this morning and I do now understand why they agreed to have it printed. I didn't realize the rights were tied up in bankruptcy court from the publisher filing and that the judge said it must be printed. In the end they won the rights only by agreeing to publish it. They also made good points when asked if they didn't think this would hurt Nicole's children even more. They pointed out that OJ sat down with the kids and they as a family agreed to have the book published. So far only 100,000 copies have been sold. I would have been ahppier if they had donated the profits to charity but it's their choice, not mine. I am sure they have lost enough enough income over the years from time off for the trials, etc. so this may help compensate them somewhat. They pointed out that OJ was already paid more than 600K for the book and hid the funds by having them paid to a trust fund in the kids names. I doubt the kids will ever see that money.

I watched Oprah and The Today Show. I won't buy the book, but I support the Goldmans in doing what they need to. Oprah made me sick yesterday. She went into that interview with her usual, holier than thou, condescending attitude. If she thought she was better than this interview, she shouldn't have fucking done it!
I'll always feel bad for the Goldmans. If this is one small piece of justice for them, I fully support it. As for O.J.'s kids, A) they are adults now, and B) they are already fully aware of what is in this book and they even signed off on it to be published.

Well, I read it on the Internet. It's a quick read, maybe a 4th grade reading level. Most of it describes their courtship and marriage, and how she had a bad temper. All the cuts and bruises on her in the domestic violence police reports occurred while he was "defending himself from her". I have always known that he killed them, and this book is just more proof that he is a psycho. This book is total disrespect. I pray that there really is a Hell, so that OJ, and others like him, can suffer there for eternity.

what really got me is Oprah...how can you have someone on to discuss a book that you refuse to read??? I actually turned it off (and put Maury on, hes so much more fun!) she was getting on my nerves so bad.
I'd love to read the book, but I refuse to pay for it...I don't want my money going to OJ or the Goldmans. Plus all the money in the world can't bring back your son/brother or her...let it go already.

Seriously. I don't know how anyone stand being around her unless she is just constantly throwing money at people. She has to be close to Vickie Sue Beckham and J Lo on the annoy-o-meter!!

I didn't pay for it, and Silver024, I agree with you regarding Oprah. In fact, I declare that she is a Stone Solid Whore. And a very expensive one.
