Interestingly, the dumbass at work who I mentioned earlier, who cheered when OJ was acquitted, was a white woman. Just thought I'd mention it.

Exactly. I found the "O.J. phenomenon" was more divided by sports fans versus non-sports people than it was black and white. Seems like whether or not he did it was irrelevant to a lot of sports fans. "The Juice" can do no wrong and his ex-wife more or less deserved what she got and, oh, well, too bad about Ron, he was just in the wrong place. Crazy way of thinking, but lots of my co-workers pretty much said exactly that.

Let's hope Michael Jordan never goes on a killing spree.......

Very sad.

You know how you can get out of jury duty - when you're being interviewed just say that the person being in police custody is good enough for you to find them guilty.

As for OJ - this book just supports that he has no conscience and is such an egomaniac that he does seem t o think that this book could anger people to such a degree that his life would be in danger.

I have to say that if this book were about my child being "hypothetically killed" by this bastard - I would hunt him down and torture him until he took his last breath.

Default O.J. Simpson to discuss killings (on t.v.)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061115/...pson_interview

LOS ANGELES - Fox plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted, the network said.

The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.
Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, Fox said.
"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."
Simpson, who now lives in Florida, was acquitted in a criminal trial of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was later found liable in 1997 in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the Goldman family.
Messages left with Simpson and his attorney Yale Galanter were not immediately returned.

Oh, he will.

It's difficult to see someone get away with murder, but it's especially hard when they're so arrogant.

WTH? Why the hell would he go on television and talk about how he "would" murder the mother of his children?

I can just picture how he will smirk when he talks about it. I'll never forget when the verdict came down either. I worked at the DOJ and the room was filled with prosecutors and staff. When they announced it a few of the black women jumped up and down, so thrilled, and the rest of us just walked out of the room without saying a word.

Oh I remember that day too. EVERYONE but me in my office though he would be found guilty and I all bet them he would walk. Not that I didn't think he was guilty, but when he struggled with that glove, "the glove doesn't fit", and "if it doesn't fit you must acquit", I KNEW the jurors would remember that part, and there was the smidgen of doubt. What a bunch of crap. My husband is a former cop and he seems to think that while OJ can't be tried again for murder, he could be tried for something else, concealment, or perjury, SOMETHING. Hey isn't there a law student on this board?

Federal charges of violating their(Ron and Nicole's) civil rights! Just like when they retried the cops who beat Rodney King..

I remember a bunch of people bantering around work about how some people thought that maybe OJ's oldest son did the murder as a revenge for Nicole breaking up his first marriage. They just kind of figured that OJ knew who killed her and did the whole bronco thing and allowed himself to be placed on trial to protect him.

On another note, does anyone remember the SNL skit that came out shortly after the verdict was read. It was where OJ (whoever played him) was doing a breakdown commentary of a football play and using the sharpie he writes on the screen "I did it". Anyways it kinda tripped me out.

Simpson can never be retried for the murders because of double jeopardy laws, according to the Enquirer, which also claims that Simpson aims to keep any book money instead of paying it out in a civil suit judgment against him by spending it all quickly.
First let me say that the person who wrote this article is a dipshit. Simpson can never be retried for the murders because of double jeopardy laws, according to U.S. state laws. God, what a dumbass.

As far as Simpson is concerned: He is a despicable wretch of a human being. I don't care how hard-up you are for cash, I don't care if you didn't actually do the murders, YOU DON'T FUCKING WRITE A GODDAMN BOOK ABOUT IT!!!! That's just fucking rude and insensitive and greedy and evil and no-class. I hate him now.

He can't make money. The Browns and Goldman's won a civil suit against O.J. Simpson. Basically, any money he does make goes to them. I'm thinking he did this out of desperation. His estate is probably going under and he's desperate to get some cash flow-in to pay them because I'm sure they're auditing his estate every year trying to get their hands on his stuff. He'll NEVER get rich from this. Basically, he'll just get more notoriety and his name in the papers (publicity).

Ron and Nicole are dead--the damage to them is done and I'm sure the families aren't shocked anymore by how low this man can be. I only feel bad for Nicole's kids (Justin and Sydney). One day they're going to be adults and see what a loser their father was and live with the realization that they had to live and interract with their mother's killer and still have to call him 'Dad' and carry his name. That, to me is the REAL tragedy. If I were his grown daughter, I would've disowned him years ago.

Lying, murdering, unconscionable bastard -- how come he's still not looking for his wife's murderers like he vowed he would? Maybe because he's staring at him every day in the mirror.
You know what? He'd probably burn to death while I stood there debating with my conscience. Part of me would feel compelled to help him, but the other part would be trying to squelch it. All the while he'd be over there burning up.

ETA: After reading thru this thread, I'm starting to think I hope that each and every juror that let The Juice off gets painfully murdered. They deserve Nicole and Ron's fate, those stupid wastes of space bastards.
